I like to eat, I really like to eat. Unfortunately after eating, I get major eater’s regret. The thought “wow I really wish I hadn’t eaten that” flashes through my mind, followed by thoughts of calorie counting and chastising myself for not just having a carrot. Despite the eater’s regret, I still love to think about food, plan out meals and think about what I could be eating at every moment of the day. The quote goes “don’t live to eat, eat to live”, unfortunately I live to eat. Hopefully documenting my food on this blog will encourage me to have a healthier approach to food.
I’m an Irish girl; Cork born, who lived in Dublin for four years (where I met C) and have recently moved to London. I live in Camden Town and my mission is to eat my way through London. I am a vegetarian, who eats fish and dairy products. I am very picky about food and will not just eat ‘anything’ - this includes a hatred of packed sandwiches, Irish shops that have a ‘deli’ counter and overcooked vegetables.
My top five favourite restaurants in Ireland
1. The Ambassador - Chinese restaurant in Cork, always my top choice for Chinese food.
2. Yamamori - Japanese restaurant in Dublin, not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but I have a real soft spot for this place.
3. The Eastern Tandoori - Indian restaurant in Cork - amazing tikka masala.
4. Acapulco - Mexican restaurant in Dublin - love this place for appetizers and deep fried ice cream.
5. Haagen Daaz - Dublin. For chocolate fondue.
